Incorrect Closing Prices

Almost every day that I update the portfolio, I see swings in prices over 20% in both directions. When reviewing those equities, they always have zeros for high, low and volume. Usually the erroneous value is repeated over time, creating spikes in the price history. These incorrect values are creating large swings in the overall portfolio value that do not in any way correspond to the market moves.

I do not have "real time quotes" selected in my preferences. Most of the time, the updates are run after market hours.

Here's an example (one of many):

It looks like the problem started in mid-December of 2024. Note that 5/10/25 was a Saturday, which should have no price downloaded.

Are the other incorrect prices also for days when the markets were closed? Note that they were closed on 6/19, Juneteenth.

Are the incorrect prices all $172.54, or do they vary around that?

Are you sure you have not had Real Time Quotes enabled since the problems began, and that you have had the correct ticker symbol PEP selected?

@tttrinter check to see if you have a transaction that posted on 5/10/2025. That could explain how a price got posted on that day.

@tttrinter I also own some PEP, and I'm not seeing that price spike, or anything else for PEP, on 5/10.

SO, @CaliQkn's idea looks spot-on to me.

Another possibility is that the bogus prices are coming from your broker.

If you click on the gear at the top right of the account where you hold PEP then select Reconcile Shares, do the holdings agree?
