I have had an issue for a while, where some of my split transaction categories don't stay in the same order, they get mixed up and I have to fix them each time I use the payee I have also tried the memorized payee list, but that one mixes the split categories also. What's the issue? and can it be corrected? It's a pain to fix the category organization each time

Out of curiosity, why do you care about the order of the splits?

Note: If you are entering complex split transactions for credit card payments, please post back for a better way to handle these.

@Jim_Harman My main splits are my paycheck and rent, which has utility charges and other fees. The reason to care about the ordering of the splits is easy entry. I set them up to match the statement or paycheck so I can just go down the list to make any changes. But lately, Quicken has been mixing up the split categories when I go to make the next entry, even using the memorized payee, the split in the memorized payee list won't stay in order either.

Are you using Q mobile or Q web or syncing to the Quicken cloud? Syncing to Quicken cloud is known to mess with the order of splits in memorized transaction and transactions. Try turning off sync to cloud for a few weeks and see if the split reordering issue stops.
