Portfolio Value

I'm on Quicken Classic Premier Version R63.21 Build 27.1.63.21

I'm trying to answer the question: "On what date(s) did my portfolio close at {entered value}?

I know how to generate a report that shows my portfolio value on any entered date. I would like to do the reverse.

Is there a report or other way to enter the portfolio value and have Q identify the date(s) the entered value was obtained?

Thanks!

There is no way to do this directly, but you could run the Net Worth and Balances > Account Balances report with an interval of Weekly and scan the bars to see when it reached some value. If you hover over a bar, it will show the total for that bar.

You can customize the report to include only investing accounts if that is what you want.

Thanks - That is what I suspected.

@xydiasestates Portfolio value is a calculated, not stored, value and there's no way to filter on calculated values … which is why your request can't be done as you requested it.
