Transactions editing themselves?

Question

Lately I have enterred a transaction only to look at it later and the lines have re-arranged themselves. For instance, yesterday I went to the store and entered the following:

Food: X dollars

Prescriptions X dollars

Clothing X dollars

Coupons minus X dollars

Sales tax X dollars

This morning I looked at the same transaction and the lines re-arranged themselves. Not even reversed. I now see clothing, tax, prescriptions, coupons, food.

This is happening on nearly transaction I have entered the past week or so. Any ideas on fixing this gremlin?

Do you "update" to the latest and greatest version of Quicken recently?  If you did my guess is that change sneaked in with the new version.  Quicken updates are notorious for making silent changes to things.  You might paw through "Preferences" to see if anything in there might have been changed, though I don't know really if anything in "Preferences" does control that.

If you did do a recent update and determine that's when this ordering changed, and if it bugs you, you could "roll back" to the previous version.  All in all what you're seeing is very odd.
