Why "Update" with "download quotes..." doesn't update all stocks.

Question

When I use "One Step Update", I have "Download quotes and investment information" selected as well as the various accounts.  Immediately after the update, if I go to one of my investment accounts, select "Holdings", and look at the Quote/Price (right now it shows 183.16), then click "Download Historical Prices" for the last month, the Quote/Price changes (now it shows 180.45).  You are wondering if I have that stock selected in my "Selected Quotes" for the One Step Update, and yes, it is selected.  Is this behavior expected?

$180.45 was NVDA's closing price on Friday, Aug 15. Quicken's quote system has a lot of quirks. For example, it DOES sometimes overwrite current day quotes with prior day info, but I've never seen it overwrite the price with info from 2 days prior.

Check NVDA's price history in your file against the historical data at finance.yahoo.com and see if there are any other similar instances.

I'm logged into Fidelity Investments in another tab.  $175.64 is the closing (i.e., 4pm ET) price for NVDA.  The "After hours"price is $175.26.

So, I don't know where you got your numbers, because according to Fidelity, the only time today that NVDA was over $180 was before 10:30amET

Having just now, Tuesday afternoon after the stock market has closed, done a One Step Update, the stock Quote/Price for the stock in question (NVIDIA, ticker NVDA, yes it's entered correctly in Quicken) shows as 180.45.  The actual closing price today is 175.64.  If I click on "Download Historical Prices", it does in fact get updated to 175.64.

I'm running Quicken Classic Premier on Windows.  Real time quotes is NOT selected, nor Automatically update quotes every 15 minutes.
