Disappearing Categories in Quicken Classic Deluxe

Subject: Disappearing Categories in Quicken Classic Deluxe Desktop

Dear Quicken Support,

I am experiencing an issue with categories disappearing in Quicken Classic Deluxe. Specifically, after I create new categories, they appear to save correctly, but once I close and reopen Quicken, the categories are gone.

I have already completed a file validation, but this did not resolve the problem. This issue has persisted for over six (6) months.

Here are my system details:

  • Operating System: Windows 11
  • Quicken Version: R63.21
  • Build: 27.1.63.21

I would appreciate any guidance or support you can provide to help resolve this issue.

    If you would like to troubleshoot on the Community, then please provide additional information. What process are you using when creating new categories? What name are you giving these new categories? If possible, please include screenshots (with any personal information redacted). If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.
