Contributions do not update the Saving Goal account's balance (transactions in zero)

When I click on Contribute and enter any amount (e.g., $100), the bank account is reduced by that amount (e.g., from $950 to $850). However, the Savings Goal account records the transaction with a blank amount. As a result, the total balance in the goal always shows as zero.

Is there any solution to this inconsistency/bug? (I already validated the file with no errors, and also restarted from scratch with new goals, accounts, etc.)

    Hello @abenitez,

Thank you for letting us know you're encountering this issue. To help troubleshoot this issue, I attempted to replicate this issue in my own Quicken Canada, but was not able to. My savings goals showed the updated amounts, as expected. Because of this, I suspect the issue you're encountering is file-specific.

When did this issue first start? You mentioned that validating the file did not correct the issue. Have you tried restoring a backup from before the problem started?

I look forward to your reply!

The problem was solved when I selected "Use classic menus" and "Show tabs". At the end of the day, I did not find the feature useful (for my needs). I was looking for something with more flexibility to set aside money without actually be forced to set a specific goal (something similar to subaccounts so I can visualize reserves out of the total balance easily). Also found a bit limited not able to split contributions to different goals in a single transaction easy move money between

Anyway, there definitively there is a glitch. It seems it is a one-time problem. I was not able to reproduce once gone.

    Thank you
