I am a bookkeeper and a client asked me to reconcile her books, but the only way we are coming up is her downloading a file for me to take do the work and put it back on her computer, but she will still be working on it as well, while I have the original file is there a way to combine them with the information she enters and the actions I do?

No, you must be very careful when sharing a file. Only one person at a time can be making changes.

    See this Support article https://www.quicken.com/support/how-do-i-move-my-quicken-data-file-one-computer-another/

If one of you does not need access to all the features of Quicken, the limited user might be able to use "Quicken on the Web", which is referenced in the link above.

You might also want to take a look at Quickbooks, which does have an "Accountant Review" function that would allow you to make changes to the copy that she sends to you and them to be merged when you return the file, without any loss of what the client has done in the meantime.
