Confused by new? bill pay option.

I just downloaded R64.23 and got a popup saying try the new Bill pay service. Watching the videos that come up when looking for more information, they talk about how to use it. But it's not clear what the process is or if there's a cost. After the unfortunate EWC+ updates disabled direct access to my banks bill pay, I've been paying through the bank bill pay website because quicken's old bill pay system charged you for bill payments over a ridiculously low number. The videos seem to imply that the bills are now paid by the bank bill payment service again and don't mention any costs.

So basic questions:

  1. Does the new bill pay connect to our bank bill payment service?
  2. Alternatively, Is there a cost for this new service? The same as the old one?

Thanks

    Hello @joe_ender,

Thank you for reaching out with these questions. To answer them -

    1. No. The new bill pay goes through a 3rd party service provider.
      1. Note - If you are already set up to do bank bill pay through Quicken (Direct Connect connection with a financial institution that supports that functionality required), your ability to do so should not be impacted by this change.
    2. The cost for this service is the same as the cost for the previous service. Please refer to this article on how many payments you can make per month to see how many payments are included with your current subscription tier and the costs associated if you want to make additional payments:

    I hope this helps!

@Quicken Kristina I'm curious, does the new vendor use ACH transfers are the primary way to pay bills or is it only a "fallback" like it was on the older provider?
