I'm happy that the new eBills is more reliable. I can connect more of my stuff to eBills than before. However, that brings up new usability issues. Here's #2.
I use several credit card issuers (e.g., Chase) that provide multiple cards. Autopaying the card from my checking account produces a transaction with a line item like "chase autopay", but doesn't specify which account. So, the payee in quicken is just "Chase", but eBill requires a distinct payee for each eBill connection, like "Chase Freedom". Therefore, I think that's resulting in the payments not getting detected and matched, right? And then, if I click "mark as paid", then Quicken creates a duplicate transaction (for the same amount) from my checking account to the "Chase Freedom" payee.
Is there no way to handle this? Maybe Quicken could update the payee in addition to the transaction amount? Given there is a transaction with the similar date and same amount in the credit account, I think that would work in general, irrespective if the balance, minimum due, or other amount were paid?
Thanks!
