Will Merrill Lynch QFX Work After the Mandatory Cutover to EWC+?

@Quicken Kristina, @Quicken Anja and/or anyone else who might know:

The issue where mismatched securities due to additional information being appended to security names sounds like it can be a big one, particularly if you have a large number of securities (which I do). From past experience, it's easy to make a mistake when merging 2 securities, and can be difficult to undo. Does anyone know if the QFX file transfers will continue to work after Direct Connect goes away? I'd prefer to use that method for a couple of weeks past 9/22 until, hopefully, the mismatch problem is solved.

Thanks

    Hello @mrzookie,

    Thank you for reaching out. QFX file transfers should continue to work, provided that Merrill Lynch chooses to support it. Have you been encountering any issues importing QFX files into your Quicken?

    I look forward to your reply!

    @Quicken Kristina

    Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't tried in a while as I always use OSU, so I don't know what to expect. I see the dialog is still there on the ML site, so I'm assuming/hoping it's still working. I was just looking for a heads up if you were able to say for sure. I'm gonna give it a try next week when I expect a slew of divs and other transactions to flow through. I'd like to try to get past EOM/EOQ before switching if I can.

    On a separate but related note, after a couple of aborted tries, I completed the Fidelity conversion this morning, and it looks good. The final test is this week when new transactions come through.

    One down, one to go!

    Thanks again.

    Thank you for the follow-up,

    I'm not able to test it myself, but I have seen others post that they've been updating via QFX while waiting for issues to be resolved.

    I'm glad to hear the Fidelity migration went well!

    Thank you!
