Renaming Rules Change

Hi:

I'd like to request further customization of renaming rules. As an example, for ATM transactions. When I visit an ATM I get 2 separate transaction line items. One for the cash withdrawal and a separate transaction line item for the ATM fee. I would like to have the ability to automate the 2 different transactions. One renaming rule could be any ATM withdrawals where I have the standard rule set by name, but are under a given dollar amount (say $15) gets named and categorized as "ATM Fee", and any ATM withdrawals over that amount would be categorized as ATM Withdrawals under "Cash and ATM".

This would just require a "hierarchy" of renaming rules. The first step would be by name (as it currently is) and this one rule would have a "subordinate" rule that could be definable by dollar amount. It's a simple If/Then/Else question.

I think you can already do this using the recently enhanced Memorized Payee List.

For example, your Renaming rule would change both transactions to "ATM." Then you would have 2 entries in the MPL for ATM. One would be for less than $15 and set the Category to ATM Fee and the other would be for larger amounts and would set the Category to ATM Withdrawals.

You could even have it give the resulting transactions 2 different payees.
