What features to I give up by moving from Quicken Classic for Mac to Quicken on the Web?

I've been using Quicken Classic Deluxe for quite some time. I'm considering switching to Quicken on the Web (Business and Personal).

For those who've made a similar transition, or who have experience with both products, what will I give up in making that transition?

QWeb is an adjunct to the Q desktop products. You CAN'T exclusively use QWeb.

Then that makes Quicken's website all the more confusing.

Let me do some research about this. The website DOES seem to suggest that there's a standalone web version of B&P.

But, I've never seen such announced.

I wanted to clarify a common point of confusion. Quicken on the Web is the companion app for the Quicken Classic desktop app—it’s designed to let you view accounts, budgets, and other features from a browser, but it doesn’t replace the full desktop functionality.

The screenshots you’re seeing on Quicken’s website are actually Quicken Business & Personal (web-based), which is a subscription tier built on Quicken Simplifi’s platform. This is essentially Simplifi for business, not a web version of Classic Business & Personal. It has a different feature set and isn’t equivalent to the desktop Classic app.

One idea would be to sign up for it but also keep using the Mac Desktop Classic version. So use both for a couple months to try it out and compare them. And let us know how it goes and what you find.
