Are you waiting for downloaded transactions from the bank to fill your account registers?
Or are you manually recording a correctly named Transfer transaction into your Quicken registers BEFORE downloading transactions from the banks?0 -
I update all accounts from the main menu. The matching of transaction is fine for all bank accounts and credit cards just doesn't work with Schwab brokerage account. When I correct the Schwab account it does correct the bank account.

I suspect the "red dots" are really are a red arrow icon:
You get those when you enter an invalid account name in the Transfer field. Could this be the case? Something is prevent the transfer and why you are not finding the matching transfer.

no the name on the schwab account is the one quicken picked and is the same after I change the schwab account tho reflex the transfer to the bank account

Thanks for the update, @cradulich
I don't see any "red dots" in your screenshot, but you also mention "after I change the schwab account tho reflex [sic] the transfer to the bank account"
It sure sounds like you had an invalid transfer entered which you have since corrected. . .
I'm glad you got it worked out.

Yes I can correct it however every time I transfer money from schwab to the bank of OZ and then down load the transaction I have to manually correct it

Based on the above discussion I would like to recommend:
For best results manually enter transfer transactions into your register BEFORE you download transactions from the bank which contain the transfer confirmations. For recurring transfers use scheduled reminders and enter them a day or two before the due date.
Be sure to use distinct Payee Names for each transfer / credit card payment to avoid confusing Quicken - memorized payee entries.
That takes the guesswork out of the download processing. Because a correctly entered transfer transaction already exists in your account registers, the download process should just match the downloaded transfer transaction to the existing one in both accounts and you have no more problems that need manual intervention.0 -
I agree scheduled transactions or manually entering are ideal, but you might already be doing this.
But, based on what you have provided, I question if you have an incorrect QuickFill rule that is mucking things up. Each time you either manually enter the transfer or the transfer gets downloaded, that erroneous QF rule gets applied. Thus, you have to go correct.
I would look at your QF rules (Window: Payees & Rules) to see if this is the case.
Your bank downloads from The Bank of the OZK or Schwab are not going to "know" it is a transfer (unless it has some kind of hint from within Quicken using Payees & Rules). Start looking there.

don't see that on my mac also this just started recently

Well, the QF rules are there. And they are likely getting added for transactions as they are entered.
I am wanting to help you out with this so things work smoothly. I did notice this thread tonight; does any of it appear related:?
I don't know if you are seeing only one side of the transfer is getting entered, or the transfer you enter is invalid.
Perhaps @Demoleon and you can compare notes and see if this as indeed a similar problem.
I am not seeing this issue with transfers, and I suspect that it is more a settings or QF rule issue. But, then more info, the better.
