Fidelity accounts with multipile Quicken files - reset needed?

I manage two different Quicken files…one for a trust, and one for personal finances.

Both the trust and personal finances have Fidelity accounts

Ever since the new Fidelity connection method, I often have to reset the Fidelity accounts after trying One Step Update. This did not happen prior to the Fidelity changes.

This seems to happen when I switch from one Quicken file to the other (that is, trust to personal finance, or vice versa). The Fidelity accounts are no longer recognized, and I have to "reset" them.

In addition, for my personal accounts, there are several different Fidelity accounts (3 IRA accounts, 2 non-IRA accounts, one 529 account)…and many times, even after resetting the accounts in my personal finance file, not all of these accounts are "found" on Fidelity. I have to go through the reset a second time for them all to be found.

Any solutions? Or is this just one of the ongoing issues with Fidelity?

    Hello @markswot,

Thank you for sharing your experience, and I am happy to help!

You should be able to have more than one file connected to Fidelity, without having to constantly reauthorize. This is something that should be reported to Quicken Support directly so they can investigate further and process an escalation if needed.

Please reach out to them and let us know how it goes.

    Thank you!
