Investment register went BLANK; recovered by restarting Quicken

From what I've seen, this is not a new problem; e.g. see:

I am running Quicken B&P vR64.30 on Windows 11 Pro (fully updated). I was in the middle of a long session (around 4 hours) of catching up after a trip. I clicked on one of my Investment Registers (for a Schwab account). I had downloaded the transactions and accepted them. I went further back to click on another register entry. When I clicked it asked me if I wanted to save my last entry, I clicked YES.

When I did that, all of my entries changed to MISC EXP (just as with the Oct 31,2024 post cited above). I scrolled frantically and swore a lot. I tried clicking sort columns. Nothing helped. I switched to another Schwab account and it was fine. clicked back and now ALL ENTRIES were GONE. 😬

I ran an Investment Transaction report for YTD and saw all the recent transactions. I looked at HOLDINGS and all the securities were there. So I backed up the file, exited Quicken, restarted Quicken and to my relief, the transactions were back.

I do see that the previous conversations on the topic have been closed. I am posting this so that the Quicken crew is aware that whatever caused this in the past, the same problem still happens. I'd never run into this before.

Don't need suggestions for fixing since close/reopen "fixed" what I saw. Just hope the Quicken crew looks into the causes!

I'll simply add a "me to" post here. If I'm remembering correctly this behavior has occurred two times in this year. Currently running R62.16 Build 27.1.62.16
