Is there a way to stop the Memo field from automatically filling in?

I have Quicken Classic Deluxe for Windows. Version R64.35. Build 27.164.35.
When I make a purchase from the same Payee multiple times those transactions may all have the same category but not the same description which I have previously entered into the Memo field. It's very convenient to have the Category field automatically fill, but not the Memo field. Is there a way to turn off automatically filling in the Memo field without impacting Category or anything else?

Go to the Online Services tab of Account Details for each account you do not want the Memo field updated during OSU. Check the box for Don't update memo when downloading followed by clicking on OK.
