Why a Duck?
I just migrated to Win11 (yuck!) and on R64.35.
Why do I need a Password Vault?
How do I update one account with out having one?
I use this product daily, I have a decent memory for passwords and Social Security numbers; why do need more of them.
Yours with anticipation and a hint of sarcasm, Gary

Hello @corndog638,
Thank you for reaching out! If you are referring to the Password Vault in Quicken for Windows, it's optional.
If you have accounts that connect using Direct Connect, you can use the Password Vault to store your login credentials for those financial institutions.
If you do not have accounts that connect using Direct Connect, or you prefer to input the login credentials for those accounts when you update your Quicken, then there is no need to use the Password Vault.
If you have the vault set up and you do not want to use it, you can delete it by navigating to Tools>Password Vault>Delete Vault and all Saved Passwords….
I hope this helps!

The only option on the PV menu that is available is "Set up new….". This has only become a problem when trying to update one account with out doing a One Step Update. I was trying to download from Vanguard since I only wanted one account not an entire OSD. Quicken asked me to set up a PV and when I refused it would not proceed.

Thank you for your reply,
I tried to replicate the issue you described by deleting my own password vault and updating a single account that connects using Direct Connect. However, I did not get stuck in a screen forcing me to create a password vault.
To help troubleshoot this issue, please provide a screenshot of what you are seeing (make sure to redact any personal information). If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.
Thank you!
