One Step Update not working for an AMEX account
I have other AMEX accounts that downloaded transactions fine, but one that is missing a specific range of transactions. I have deactivated and reactivated, and logged into the AMEX account to work from that end, with no success.

Is that "specific range of transactions" older than 60 - 90 days ago?
For newer transactions, if you have tried to download using One Step Update (OSU) or "Update Now" from the Quicken account register, Quicken may think these transactions have already been downloaded once and will not post them into the register again. You may want to try downloading a QFX file from the AmEx website, selecting the required date range or number of complete statements.
Upon import of the QFX file into Quicken, you may have to create a (temporary) new account register. (If your current account register is already connected for OSU downloading Quicken won't let you import into it, so a new register is needed)
After import into the temporary register select all downloaded transactions except the new register's Opening Balance transaction. Right-click one of the selected transactions and click "Move transactions" in the popup. Specify the destination account register (your active AmEx account register).
When the transactions have been moved into your active AmEx register review the transactions, cleanup, categorize as needed. Delete any duplicates.
You should now be able to reconcile your register to the monthly statements.
And you can delete the temporary account register.0 -
The option to download our current/recent transactions has recently disappeared from the website. I called their Customer Service and they said they'd had numerous calls regarding this issue and that it would soon be fixed, but that was last week!

Transactions for my Amex card are not downloading. However, no error message is being returned by OSU.
@Quicken Anja - Please add Amex to the list of OSU issues that have been occurring recently.

Yes, seeing this as well.
OSU shows zero errors, but nothing downloading since 10/28/25.
Also seeing this on Discover Bank/credit cards as well.

Definitely an issue with Quicken and Amex.
I deactivated the accounts and reactivated them. Or rather, attempted to.
It brings up the web browser, I login, check all the boxes for my Amex accounts, click Authorize. Web site says it's successful. About 3 seconds later, Quicken says "Sign in to american Express bank failed. Try again.
sorry, the sign in failed due to time out or a connection error.
Select Sign In to authenticate via your web brwoser."
I've tried 3 times, same error.

Same for me. I deactivated all connections to AMEX in hopes to refresh, but sign in fails even after I get to the AMEX site and authorize my accounts for quicken again. Something is broken. I commented only to track the issue
