Always having issues starting Quicken when not online

Hello. I live in a rural area where wifi is not always available. When the wifi is down, Quicken on my PC gives me a really hard time starting it up and I get reminders that I am offline.

How can I make this stop. I do not want Quicken to give me a hard time when not able to access the wifi. I just want to use it as normal.

The usual work-around here is to close Quicken then either turn off WiFi or unplug the Ethernet cable and then opening Quicken.

You can also try disabling your network adapters to bypass the connection check.

Do you have a traditional landline telephone?
Do you have a cellphone (and cellphone service at your location)?
Or do you have Cable TV or Satellite TV?

Either of these vendors should offer Internet service … for a price …

I use Quicken offline frequently and I receive no messages about being offline. Please provide an example of the messages you receive or a screenshot if possible. I second what @Tom Young suggested to turn off your Wifi which should do the trick.

I wonder if it has to to do with Sync. If you go to Edit > Preferences > Mobile & Web, is the Sync option On or Off? If you don't use Quicken on a mobile device or access it via a web browser, it is safe to turn off Sync.

ADDING: The other one I can think of is Edit > Preferences > Startup > Download transactions when Quicken starts. Uncheck this box.
