Target National Bank - CC-511
Quicken Classic Deluxe for Windows, Version R64.35, Release 27.1.64.35
I have been unable to connect to Target National Bank for the past several days to download transactions for my Target REDcard with error code CC-511. I've disconnected the account from online services and am not unable to reconnect, getting the same CC-511 error code.

Same issue on Windows version. Guess that's why I have almost given up on Target's connection

I'm experiencing the same error code. Same version and release. CC-511 is a new one for me. Usually with the CC-501/503 they resolve in a few days without having to do anything. Don't like that it says to "Contact Quicken Care"!

Been getting errors for about a week, so I tried the Add New Account path that was mentioned in similar closed string. However, I am getting the cc-511 error so I cannot get to the step to link to existing account.

I was getting the cc-511 for Target National Bank but the Quicken Support AI had me do a reset and that deactivated the downloads and failed to re-activate with the same cc-511 error. The AI provided numerous instances of bad information. For example, it told me to remove the institution name from the Account Details General tab but that field is not editable in my case. So, now I can't even setup downloads due to the cc-511 error.

Is anyone have issues with Target not downloading transactions as of 11-15-25? I know i can only download once a statement has posted. I received a statement a few days ago but nothing happened, i got a cc-511 error. Tried again a few day later and got the same results. I tried an account reset but that deleted all my credentials. If I enter username, password it just keeps asking for that info. Thank you for any update.

This problem started on the Mac side last April and has not been fixed yet!

As you can see, this is a known issue and is now being investigated. If you would like to aid in the investigation, you can send over your log files by going to Help>Report a problem>Send to Quicken.

Shortly after Quicken Anja's comment to my initial post, I submitted a problem report through Help > Report a problem within my Quicken program, along with log files and a sanitized file.

I was able to reconnect with Target National Bank just now. For some reason, there was a balance error going all the way back to the opening balance. Not sure what happened with that, but I just adjusted the opening balance to compensate.

For the past couple of days Target National Bank update has been working. Of course I would like to see transactions being downloaded as they occur rather than after each statement closing.

@Snorkle Thanks for the update—I’m glad to hear the connection is working again.
As for when transactions download, that timing is fully controlled by the financial institution. Quicken can only download transactions once the bank releases them, so if they only send them after the statement closes, then that is what you’ll see in Quicken.

That's not a Target thing, that's a Quicken thing that sporadically happens when accounts are reconnected. Plagiarizing someone else's tip: Put the opening balance of all your accounts in the memo field of the first transaction. Makes it a lot quicker to sort out when this happens.

I've been connecting and shows successful download on OSU. Today it downloaded two transactions for 10/29. Statement closing was yesterday.
