Fidelity Downloaded Transactions Not Matching
Windows Quicken Deluxe R64.35 Build 27.1.64.35
One Step Update Fidelity Roth IRA Account downloaded transactions correctly download.
Fidelity 401K account downloads but they are generic transaction labeled deposit (maybe contribution). It doesn't have any details about the security or shares bought. Just the total amount.
I'm forced to go into my Fidelity account and manually enter in the information then delete the downloaded transactions.
This has been going on months since the Fidelity migration that Quicken undertook.
I've been following the mess on the other posts that list so many issues that they are still working on but I didn't see this specific issue listed and I wasn't sure if it was being actively worked on.
Quicken is supposed to be making my life easier with automation and this is not easier. Especially for a paid subscription.

Hello @micdif,
Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue. To clarify, when you say the transactions aren't matching, do you mean they do not match what you see on Fidelity's website, or do you mean there are reminders/manual transactions that they should be matching to in the account register in Quicken? If you're willing, please post a screenshot of what you are seeing download into your Quicken (make sure to redact any personal information). If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.
I look forward to your response!

I already deleted the transactions so I can't provide a screenshot.
Quicken does the One Step Updates and downloads the transaction from both my Fidelity accounts. My Roth account downloads the correct transactions but my 401 downloads generic transactions. It hS the corredt total overall but is missing the security name and the number of shares bought.
I'm forced to manually go into my Fidelity account to look up the information and enter new transactions. I then delete the generic downloaded transactions.
It should correctly download each security I bought along with shares, overall total cost, price per share.

Thank you for your reply,
To be able to look into the issue, we would need sample transactions and log files. The next time this issue happens, please navigate to Help>Report a Problem and send a problem report with log files attached. Please include either a screenshot showing the problem transactions, or include the transaction information (date/payee/amount).
Once the problem report is sent, please post to let me know.
Thank you!

I'm having the same problem which began fairly recently and may have started when I added my wife's Fidelity account about 4-5 weeks ago.
Prior to this, any contributions would come into my Fidelity investment account with all information - security, number of shares, price; now I get a generic deposit/contribution with the total amount but no other info. This leaves my securities balance and cash balance out of whack until I can get the full info From Fidelity and correct the transaction. My wife's account is more complicated and requires correcting 1-2 dozen transactions each time I update. Needless to say this is not sustainable.
Screenshot below shows a snippet; top txn is what I expected prior to the issue, next txn is what is currently being entered by Quicken.

Attempted to send a Report as you described four times and it kept failing. Par for the course with Quicken products. I removed the attachment of the screenshot I took and it finally sent.
Here's the screenshot I was trying to attach to the Report.
It's exactly the same as tkiehne showed above. This has been ongoing for months since the Quicken Fidelity "update" which is way too long. Oddly, my other Fidelity account does download correctly.

Thank you for the follow-up,
Thank you for providing that additional information. It will help our teams investigate the issue. You mentioned that your other account does update correctly. What kind of account is that other account (brokerage, 401k, etc.)?
Thank you!

Other account is Fidelity Roth IRA account.
When Quicken did their Fidelity migration I believe there was an issue with this account too but that was resolved.
Now just the one account still remains an issue.

Thank you for your reply,
To clarify, you mentioned that just one account still remains an issue. Is that one account the 401k or the Roth IRA?
Thank you!

@Quicken Kristina
I have it all in my OP above.
It's my 401K that downloads incorrectly as a generic deposit. I contribute twice a month via my payroll. This causes a pain since I have to manually enter and delete transactions twice a month.
My Roth updates correctly but that's only once a month since I transfer money into it monthly.

Any updates on this thread? I'm having the same issue on my wife's Fidelity NetBenefits Retirement account. The 457 account updates fine, but the 401K account brings in generic transactions without details. Thank you.

Thanks. I just reported the problem and attached the noted log files but the .png screenshot file would not upload.

Ugggh! Now BOTH of my accounts don't download properly.
My Roth account used to sync properly and 401 account didn't but now Roth also doesn't download properly.
I had to go into my Fidelity account and manually create transactions and so much wasted time trying to delete the downloaded transactions which wouldn't delete until after several attempts and I ended up with duplicate transactions and I became all confused.
At this point it would be faster to disable one step updates and just downloaded directly from the Fidelity site or manually enter the transactions.
At this point, I'm thinking of going back to using spreadsheets or just directly with my vendors. Paying annual subscription for Quicken doesn't seem worth the headaches and all of the time that's wasted. This issue has been going on for several months now.

My dividend in my Fidelity account imported correctly today! Thanks @Quicken Kristina !

Thank you for your replies,
Are both accounts downloading generic information, or is something else happening?
I'm glad to hear it's working correctly. If the issue returns, please reach back out.
Thank you!

Same thing I originalyl posted. Was only happening to the one account but now both have the issue so things are deterioting and getting worse.
As for @kstarr's divided importing successfully my guess is dividends are not the same transactions as a contribution/buy unless it's a reinvest of dividend. I'd be curious to know if all of their transactions are downloading properly.

@Quicken Kristina Just reported another problem. Different type of transaction this time. I thought the problems were solved but I did a REBALANCE on my wife's Fidelity account yesterday and the "sell" side of the transactions downloaded into Quicken appropriately with transaction details. But the "buy" side of the transaction came in generically ("Exchangein" / "Deposit") with no transaction details. I had to submit two tickets though because the upload of the screenshot process is buggy.

Just wasted 2 full days to fix all of the end of year downloads that were incorrect.
This time my 403 account correctly downloaded one of my transactions but still messed up the rest with the generic unknown security issues previously mentioned.
Roth account continues to be messed up with the above mentioned issues.
Great way to start the new year. [Removed - Sarcasm]
