Hello @Dave526,
Thanks for reaching out!
A CC-501 error appears when Quicken can’t connect to the financial institution to pull new transactions. This is most often caused by something on the bank’s side preventing the connection from completing, rather than an issue within Quicken itself.
If the error continues after waiting 24 hours, reaching out to Quicken Support is the next step, as they may need to review your logs and escalate the issue.
Please refer to this support article for the full details on this error.
Thank you!

Same problem here. No problem with login to Cit Bank but cc501 error from Quicken.

Same problem. I've tried yesterday and have tried again today, >24 hours later. Still the CC501 error. I need this info now, not days later.

Issue persists. Now the third day.

Same error on my end. 3 full days and counting. Have reached out to CIT Bank, with no success. Current error code: CP_SERVER_ERROR (request-body-field). Will give it another day or so, then go through Quicken reporting process (logs etc.). No issue logging in directly to CIT Bank website or app. Quicken Mac user.

About one week ago, I could no longer update my account with CIT bank online. When I included it in my OSU, it would never update. When I took it out of my OSU, and tried to update it individually, it would not update. Then I did a refresh of the account. Now, when I try to "reconnect" it to Quicken, it "spins" for a few minutes and then I get a CC-501 error telling me to try again in a few hours. This has gone on for a week. According to the error message, I should not call CIT Bank, so it must be a Quicken error.
Please let me know how to successfully reconnect and download transactions for CIT bank online.

4th day…still CIT bank access fails in Quicken…

I notice that Quicken is not using the bank hosted log in (Express Web Connect Plus). Even after deactivating the online connection, attempting to reconnect does not use the bank hosted EWC+ log in screen, but rather asks for username/password only. There is no attempt at the required SMS MFA request and so it just times out. No EWC+ likely the issue. I just tried connecting via eMoney and another platform and they had no issue connecting to CIT via EWC+ login.

add my name to the list. Going on almost a week with cc-501 error. Have submitted logs and screenshot. No problem accessing CIT via web or mobile apps. No go with Quicken. Not good.

The issue appears to have been resolved - transactions downloaded successfully on 4 Dec 2025.

I tried yesterday to reset my account. Nothing happened, other than removing the online access. When I try to add account, as prompted, all I get is a blank screen. I wish I would have waited and not tried to reset.

I was able to reestablish my connection today with CIT Bank Online. It took maybe three minutes to "find" the account. I then linked to my existing account and it downloaded transactions. Again, it took another two to three minutes to do this, but … it worked! I then ran a OSU including CIT Bank Online, and all seemed to go normally. I'll continue to monitor and report back here if there is a continuing issue.
Thanks!
