Bill Reminders Won’t Stay Deleted
I have three manual bill reminders that keep coming up every time I open Quicken that I have deleted numerous times. How do I delete them so they won't keep appearing?

Thank you for posing this question. Definitely strange that these bill reminders keep returning after you have deleted them.
I have some follow-up questions for you.
- How long has this been happening?
- Do you use Quicken Mobile & Web?
- Where is your data file located?
- Is your file being synced/backed up by any third-party services like iCloud, Carbonite, or OneDrive?
One thing you can try is validating your data file to see if that helps clear them out.
To do this:
- Save a backup.
- Go to File.
- Select Validate and Repair file…
- Check the first box for Validate file.
- Click Ok.
After the validation has completed, check to see if the reminders are still coming back.

So, I have been having this problem too. Can't remember when it started, but I will guess for at least 2 weeks or longer.
I have 5-6 income reminders (CD interest) that I have deleted many times and they keep coming back. I do not have an external backup system that I am using. However, I do use Quicken's mobile sync.
I did a validate and super validate on my desktop data file… no errors in the log. I backed up my data file at this point and saved it to a different hard disk. I restored the data file from that source and chose to overwrite the existing data file. I then did a sync to Quicken mobile. All should be good, right?
Well, I logged into Quicken on my phone and the deleted transactions were NOT deleted there. Wait, I just synced with my desktop, what is going on. I synced with the desktop from the Quicken mobile app. No change. Frustrating? Yes. I then deleted the reminders under the Bill tab in the Quicken mobile app and resynced with Quicken desktop. I closed and reopened the Quicken desktop program, resynced with the mobile app and so far the deleted transactions remain deleted on both platforms. I will be waiting to see if some syncing gremlins are still out there.
The bottom line for me, is that syncing between the desktop and the mobile platforms is flawed. If a transaction is deleted on the desktop, then it most certainly should be deleted on the mobile side. I think Quicken needs to look into this problem. I will be back to respond if the problem still continues. Oh, and I should mention that I have been using Quicken for 23 years, so I am not new to this rodeo.

Something is re-introducing the data. The first thing I would try is disabling Mobile & Web.

I am happy to report back that the problem of reappearing transactions has stopped. Editing the transactions on the Mobile & Web side was the solution. Why they remain in the Mobile & Web platform when they have been edited on the desktop and synced with Mobile & Web is unclear. Hopefully the Quicken folks will recognize this as a bug and fix it.
