Fidelity EWC+ Status Regarding Reporting of Cash

There have been so many different Fidelity EWC+ posts and threads that I thought it might be best to start a new one that focuses specifically on one issue.

But first I'd like to thank the Quicken Team for the latest update on the Alert dated 12/19/2025.: UPDATED 12/19/25 Fidelity Updates. This update is one of the best and most comprehensive status reports I think I have ever seen in this Community and I really appreciate it. And based upon my own observations I do agree that, except as noted in this Alert update, Fidelity has corrected almost all of the issues that I have experienced during and since the EWC+ migration.

Now, on to the specific issue of this thread: I am still having an issue with the Cash Representation of the Core Position MMF with 1 IRA account and 1 Roth IRA account. If there are others who are still experiencing issues with this it would be great if they would read through this and post whether or not this might be applicable to their situation.:

  1. The Core Position MMF for both of these accounts is FDRXX and on the Online Services tab of Account Details this MMF is to be shown as Cash, not as Shares.
  2. In the Holding view: The MMF value is properly shown as Cash and not as Shares.
  3. But the Cash Balance as reported by Fidelity (click on the blue font Cash Balance below and toward the right side of the account registers) shows $0.00. This prevents Quicken from Reconciling to the Online Balance of these accounts.

Most of my accounts ( another 4 IRAs, 1 Roth IRA and 2 taxable brokerages) do not have this issue..

Digging into it some more I found an interesting discrepancy that maybe is an indication of why I am seeing this issue. Following are some pictures that hopefully shed light on what I am seeing with these 2 accounts:

  1. Here are the pictures showing how FDRXX is to be reported in these 2 accounts. Looks OK. Acct Details_Online Services_Anna's Roth IRA (2025-12-20).png Acct Details_Online Services_Glenn's IRA (2025-12-20).png
  2. Here are the pictures showing how FDRXX is included in the Holdings views. Looks OK. Anna's Roth IRA_Holdings View is Correct (2025-12-20).png Glenn's IRA_Holdings View is Correct (2025-12-20).png
  3. Here are the pictures showing what Fidelity is reporting for the Cash Balance ($0.00). They should be the same as what Quicken is showing. Cash Bal is OK but downloaded Cash Bal is Missing_Anna's Roth (2025-12-20).png Cash Bal is OK but downloaded Cash Bal is Missing_Glenn's IRA (2025-12-20).png
  4. Reset to Default shows these 14 MMFs and 1 FDIC sweep account are available to be selected as the Core Position. But this list is not accurate because it does not include FDRXX. In addition, it appears there are just too many MMFs in this list as historically the number of MMFs available for selection as the Core Position has been fairly small). NOTE: This picture is the same for both accounts. MFs Avail for Core Position_No FDRXX (2025-12-16).png
  5. When actually selecting which MMF is to be used as the Core Position provides only FDRXX as the only option….with none of the other MMFs being listed. NOTE: This picture is the same for both accounts. FDRXX Only avail for Core Position (2025-12-20).png

It should be noted that these accounts are both professionally managed by Churchill Management Group. Historically one of these two accounts had a bank Sweep Account for holding cash and it was correctly reported as Cash in Quicken. The other account had used SPAXX MMF for holding cash and it was correctly reported as Cash in Quicken. It was Fidelity that determined for Churchill which cash holding MMFs are to be used in these accounts.

A few weeks ago (late Nov?) Fidelity changed how cash is to be held in these two accounts to FDRXX. This cash reporting issue has occurred since then and even after Reset to Default is employed (once to revert to showing the MMF shares instead of Cash and then again later to revert to showing the MMF value instead of the shares) the Fidelity Cash Balance reporting issue does not correct.

All of my other accounts that have SPAXX or FDRXX as the Core Position MMF are not having this issue. But these other accounts did not have any Core Position MMF changes unlike the 2 accounts that are having this issue.

I will be submitting a report (Help > Report a Problem) in a few minutes.

If others are also seeing this, please reply here and then report it as well.
