Matching Security not functioning properly

A pop up appears asking if I'm already tracking security A. I respond YES., but Security A does not appear on the list so it defaults to NO, add the security A to Quicken. Then, if I click NEXT, a message appears indicating that I already have security A in Quicken. So I'm stuck.

    Please do TOOLS, Security List and click "Show Hidden Securities" that's below the list.
