Printing Reports

Quicken does not allow reports to be customized in the following ways:

  1. When printing a multiple page report, the category column does not print on every page. The category column prints only on the first page.
  2. Column orientation should be able to be changed, left, right and center.

re: your point 1. Are you saying that your report is so wide that it takes 2, or more, pages horizontally?
If so, have you tried simply printing the report in Landscape mode?

re: your point 2, I don't understand what you're asking. Please elaborate, what you mean by "column orientation" as normally they simply run down the page in both Portrait and Landscape format.

@Daniel What report are you trying to print?

For me, most reports printed from the Reports menu repeat the header row on each page, regardless of whether the report is too wide or too tall to fit on one page.

However if the Itemized Category report is expanded to show all the transactions and a Category flows to more than one page, the Category name is not repeated at the top of each page. Is that your issue?

For point 2, are you referring to the left, right, or center alignment of the data in each column? Quicken does that automatically, with numbers right aligned and text left aligned. Column headings are usually centered. Where does that not work for you?

If you don't like Quicken's report formatting, you can export the data to Excel and format it there.

I took point 1 to be that if there were too many columns to fit the page, the first column of row descriptors was not repeated on second and later pages.
