Implications of creating a new checking account that matches another current account

Running Quicken Classic on Windows 11. Been having some balance adjustment issues with BofA and my checking account.

Was thinking of creating a brand new checking account in Quicken that connects to my existing BofA checking account. Want to see if when I download transactions from BofA, if I am forced to adjust my transaction balance.

Will this impact my 'other' checking account in any way other than newer transactions?

Thanks for the help!

In a new account, you'll probably only be able to download about 90 days of transactions.

thanks NotACPA, That will not be an issue. I'm just trying to see if when I download the 90 days and, categorize them and click Done, that I don't get a prompt to Adjust the balance again the bank balance.

    Just using it to test.
