Classic Quicken Mac not Responding on Tahoe Update
Anyone know how to fix Quicken not responding? I was on for almost 2 hours with AppleCare. Re-installed Tahoe and Quicken application multiple times, including trashing program, emptying trash and restarting.
Problems started after Tahoe was installed.

No problems with Quicken on Tahoe here.
What sort of "not responding" is happening? Does the app just fail to start at all? Do you get an app window with an endlessly spinning beach ball? Is it becoming non-responsive when you try to download new transactions?
Also, which version of Quicken? and is it an Intel Mac or Apple Silicon?

I have similar: I'm using Quicken Deluxe 6.2.2 (not sure if that's Q2017 or Q-"other"), on a 2020 Intel MacBook Pro running Tahoe 6.2. I also have non-response to certain things in Quicken, since Tahoe. For example, I can enter data (thank goodness!) but I can no longer configure reports. Within a report configuration window, I can switch tabs (payee, category, etc.) but once there, I can't select or deselect anything (which is going to be hell at tax time, if they don't get this fixed. Taxes being my primary reason for using Quicken, this could be a deal breaker).
I assume the problem is Tahoe, not Quicken, since Q worked fine up until Tahoe, and also because other non-Q things, like my Finder windows, now have weird little non-response issues as well (since Tahoe). But that doesn't help it work any better. Anyone have any suggestions? Quicken folks, are you aware of this? are you on Apple about it or trying to fix it internally? Tax prep time is coming right up…

6.2.2 was released in June 2021. I'm not sure why you would have stopped updating on that one, but if there's an issue with it working on Tahoe Quicken is just going to tell you to update to the current version.

@QuickMe I don't think that's a correct assumption. Quicken often has code updates to maintain compatibility with the changes in tools and functions in the Mac operating system that Apple rolls out annually. So it's quite possible that something in the 4+ year-old version 6.2 code is not fully compatible with some change Apple made in Tahoe.

First, I'd note that this site is not Quicken Support. There are a few Quicken moderators here who can help answer some questions, but they are not Quicken Support.
Second, your version 6.2.2 is unsupported software which has long since been superseded by newer Quicken releases. This is exactly why Quicken switched to a subscription model: so they don't have to do testing and develop fixes for many different releases of the software. While it's fine that you've been able to continue to use it through the past several years without problem, there can't be any certainty or expectation that will continue forever. I feel pretty certain in saying that the Quicken Mac developers no longer test old versions like 6.2.2 against operating system upgrades.
Do you have a current subscription to Quicken? If so, since you're on the latest macOS, is there a reason which you haven't updated to the current version of Quicken? Or did you drop your subscription and continue to use it for manual entry with the "nag" banner telling you to renew?
I think your choices at this point are to either revert your operating system to Sequoia, if that's feasible for your Mac, or to purchase a current Quicken subscription so you can update to the current version of Quicken.,
