Bug Report - Sort By in Bill & Income Reminders

This was out there in a "Closed" discussion, but I'm having the same problem as Artic Hare was having. In the "Bill and Income Reminders" option (Ctrl+J in Windows), there are two tabs. On the first tab, "Monthly Bills and Deposits", you are able to click on the "Due", "Pay to/Receive From" and "Payments" column to sort by that particular column (clicking again reverses the sort). On the second tab ("All Bills & Deposits"), you can click once only on any of the three columns to change the sort. Having done so, you cannot click on any of the columns again to change the sort - you're stuck with what you have. You CAN alter the sort by selecting Options from the menu bar, but unfortunately the default is reverse order for any of the three columns you choose this way, with no way to toggle (you still can't just click the column … only once!). Arctic Hare did note that you can go back to the first tab ("Monthly Bills and Deposits") and alter the sort, which will carry thru to the "All Bills and Deposits" tab (this also restores the ability to click on a column on that tab … but, sadly, only once as mentioned above. Any intentions of fixing this???

Thanks for reporting this issue. I tried to replicate it but sorting both tabs on the Due, Pay to /Receive from, and Amount columns appears to work for me in R65.29. What version of Quicken are you running? You can get this information at Help > About Quicken.

Note that this is primarily a user to user forum. Forum Moderators (users whose names begin with "Quicken") sometimes review issues discussed here. Everyone else here is a user like you. If a Moderator sees the issue and can confirm it with their own testing, they will refer it to Development and post in the discussion with a reference number. For widespread issues, they will create an Alert that they periodically update at the link below.

Discussions about problems in this forum are often closed by the Moderators after about a month of inactivity, regardless of their resolution status.

If you want Quicken to work on a problem, you should contact Support via phone.  Be sure the support agent understands the problem and gives you a ticket number for future reference. Please post the ticket number here. Even if you are sure it is a software problem, Support will run you through a screening process to make sure it is not a problem with your data or installation. Development only works on problems that have been referred by a Moderator or confirmed by a Support contact.

You should also use the Help > Report a Problem menu in Quicken to submit the issue online. In your submission, be as clear and thorough as possible. Reference the ticket number and provide a link to this discussion. Provide step by step instructions to reproduce the problem and note any error messages you receive. Development will not pay much attention to a problem unless it is clearly documented and they can replicate it in house or see it in a support session.

You will not get a response to an electronic submission, but apparently they review and prioritize the submissions and use the data to help resolve problems they decide to work on. The more reports they receive the better.

Quicken never says when a problem is expected to be resolved.

I too am having the same problem as you (I posted my issue on 1/22/2026). I am running version R65.29. One thing I recently did (1/16/2026) was to uninstall/install Quicken Deluxe from scratch because I was having a problem opening Quicken by double-clicking on the QDF file. Not sure if the two things are related.

If you find a solution to the "Reminders" issue, I would appreciate it if you post here. TIA
