Do we need two account IDs & PWs at both Fidelity Investments and Fidelity Netbenefits for QMac?

Question

Do we need two separate account IDs & PWs at both Fidelity Investments and Fidelity Netbenefits for QMac Deluxe 8.4.2 and MacOs 26.2 to work?

we have an IRA at Fidelity Investments that works okay with QMac DC.

we have a workplace 401k at Fidelity Netbenefits that ONLY downloads fees with QMac DC.  All other transactions are missing?

In QWin we have a function that allows us to move transactions from one account into another account. Does QMac have that functionality? If so, then maybe you could move your older transactions history from the original account into the new account

Yes, transactions can be selected and dragged between accounts. But doing so will throw off opening balances, and possibly Add Shares transactions which were created by Quicken in the new account, so it needs to be done with care and attention to share and value totals. (And, as suggested, a backup before starting, in case things go south… 😉) The question is whether there are corrupted transactions in the old account, or corrupted connectivity settings in the old account; if there are truly corrupted transactions — which I should note are extremely rare in Quicken Mac —  then moving them to the new account would just bring back the problems.

Ah, so it seems that perhaps there was some corruption with that specific account in QMac so setting up a new account in QMac did not have that issue.  Good for you.

BTW, with DC Fidelity would often included up to 1-2 years of transactions data in the initial download but with QC (and with EWC+ in QWin) the amount of transactions data that is downloaded seems to be limited to just the last 2-3 months so maybe that is the reason why you did not get many transactions downloaded.

You would not need to do that but if you want to have historical continuity in a single account then that might be a good options for you.  Just make sure you do a backup before attempting to do that.

I did a Netbenefits NEW 401k ACCOUNT with my QMac and got a few transactions, but I got the correct price, balance and correct shares.  This is all I really need for now.

I hid the other OLD 401k ACCOUNT with all the [corrupted(?)] transactions since 2017.

Even though this fixes my problem, there is still a Quicken open ticket on this with Fidelity.
