Capitalone and quicken handle current balance differently. Can Quicken accommodate this?
Quicken frequently shows capital one account is out of balance when its not. The issues seems to be how the bank and Quicken calculate reconciled balance
Capital One calculates current balance to include uncleared uncleared transactions.
Quicken calculates current balance to exclude uncleared transactions.
The only time Capital One and Quicken agree is when there no uncleared transactions.
Is Quicken working on this?

I think the best way to avoid these mismatches is to reconcile to a statement balance you enter rather than an online balance. I reconcile my CapitalOne account once a month, using the balance on the statement; there are no uncleared transactions n the statement, so reconcile in Quicken is fast and accurate. I realize some people may want to reconcile more frequently using the reported online balance, but it can be problematic for exactly the reason you stated.
