How to pull a retirement account contribution report by tax year, not calendar year
From January 1 through April 15, Quicken asks if my retirement account contributions are current tax year or the previous. So I assume it's logging my answer somewhere. How to I pull a report showing the contribution totals for each tax year, rather than by calendar year?
Example: if I make a 2025 tax year contribution to a Roth in January 2026, how do I see a Roth contribution total for 2025 that includes that amount deposited in 2026? Simply expanding the report dates doesn't cut it if I'm making 2025 and 2026 tax year contributions in the same time frame.

For Traditional IRA contributions, you can see the contributions for a given tax year by running the Tax Schedule or Tax Summary report for the corresponding year.
Contributions to a Roth IRA are not taxable events, so they are not captured by Quicken's Tax line items or Tax reports, even though it asks what tax year they should be applied to. Sometimes (not consistently it seems) the tax year is shown below the Action when you click on a Jan 1-April 15 transaction in the Roth account. I think this depends on whether the contribution was made from a banking account or an investing account.
One thing you could do would be to use different Payee names for each tax year, like "Roth Contrib 2025." Or you could use Tags to identify the tax year and customize a Spending report accordingly.
