Bizarre Quicken behavior

I recently purchased a stock in an established account. When I click on the account, the stock appears and when I click on the Security Detail View in the account, the proper information is shown. However, when I click on the Investing tab (top row), that stock does not appear in its account. Even odder: The total market value on the right side of the Quicken window is correct, but the market value at the bottom on the investing screen does not include the missing stock.

Also, I see several lines with zero value for accounts that are hidden.

What the heck is going on???

Are you referring to "Portfolio view?" Is so, click on Options > Customize current view > Securities and check to see if that security is selected for that view.

Tom - Perfect answer, thank you. Wasn't aware of that particular setting.

At one time newly purchased securities were automatically added to the Portfolio views. However this was a mixed blessing. For example if you had a view that you had customized to only include certain securities, you might not want to see the new ones.
