Why won't Quicken just work?

I have a number of accounts at Fidelity. Suddenly they stopped downloading any new transactions. I performed the following:

-Validate and super validate

-Reset account

-Deactivate and re-add account

For both the reset and deactivate methods, it shows the accounts as connected and linked. However, nothing ever downloads.

I then created a new "test" Quicken file and added my Fidelity accounts, which resulted in all transactions being downloaded, including the ones that I can't get to show up in my normal Quicken file.

WTH?

Can someone help me understand what's going on and how to resolve it? Thank you.

Seeing as you are having difficulties with your current production data file downloading transactions, but a fresh new test data file running on the currently installed program software performs as expected, that would definitely indicate a corrupt data file or Quicken account connection. You've tried the easy troubleshooting steps to no avail, so I would start getting a little more drastic in troubleshooting. Next, I would try logging off your account and logging back in. If that fails, I would try a full copy of the current data file and see if that remedies the issues. If that still fails, try a selective copy(ies) from the earliest date to a date just before you started experiencing problems in an effort to find where the data file got corrupted.

RalphC, making a copy of the file allowed me to re-add online services and it's working now. Unfortunately that means having to reenable online services for EVERY account though. Painful, but I appreciate the assist. Sure would like to understand what the corruption method is and how to avoid it, and what Quicken is doing to help.

Yes, copy the file. Reconnect all services. It fixes a lot of issues. I recommend doing that once a year, to keep your file healthy. There are too many issues constantly happening that mess up the file.
