Negative Costs with assets sold
I have sold 2 different assets (entire lot) and the asset name is still in the portfolio summary with a negative cost. There is no value, just negative cost.
How do you remove it.

You're talking about "securities" here, right?
If you used a "Sold" action and sold all shares of both securities then those securities should not be showing up in the Investment Account(s) "Holdings" window(s) and should disappear entirely from the Portfolio View under the Investment tabs.
If that's not the case then the first thing I'd try is to delete the sold transactions and try entering them again. If that doesn't work the next thing I'd try would be a Validation of the file with Rebuild investing lots checked.

I’m not clear on your reference to “portfolio summary”. Please clarify that.
Is the negative cost significant, or a few cents?
Portfolio views (Ctrl-u) have an options setting to show or not show closed lots. If the negative cost is significant, that would just hide the problem.

Yes, securities.
The securities seem to be showing due to the fact there is a negative cost basis value remaining. There is no value for the Market Value. See below. While on is a small dollar value, the other is significant (K's).

One is significant (K's).
The portfolio view is not checked for closed lot.
Thanks,

Did you try the things I suggested? If you did and it didn't help, then looking at a screen shot of the details of each security right before the sale that eliminated the securities might suggest something.
I think you need to go back through the history of all transactions for both securities - a Transaction report would help here - and try to spot what went wrong. I think the most likely explanation is that some transaction or transaction was recorded improperly.

Yes, I did Validate and Repair and it fixed the big one, but the small $2 one is still there. I will look at each transaction next. Thank You!!!

@gtamm Just curious, did you ever record a "Return of Capital" transaction in the account?
