IRA Account Add/Remove Shares Marks Wrong Transaction as Accepted
I have two IRA accounts, each with multiple mutual funds, that I recently merged. The transactions were downloaded as Added in one account and Removed in another account.
When I attempt to accept the transaction, I work through the process of choosing the appropriate Source Account and Target Account in the Shares Transferred Between Accounts dialog box. There are a fair amount of transactions so it takes some time. When finished, the transactions have been added and removed successfully. However, in the Downloaded Transactions window the wrong mutual fund was marked as "Accepted". This is repeatable.

So I take it that all the transactions are initially held in the "Downloaded Transactions" window? And rather than doing "Accept all" you're attempting to first replicate the multiple Add transactions for each security in the "to" Account and the single Remove transaction in the "from" Account for each security by using the "Shares Transferred Between Accounts" wizard, selecting to move the securities one at a time?
It sounds like you've tried this multiple times and the statement "When finished, the transactions have been added and removed successfully" would appear to confirm that all entries are correct. Is that in fact the case?
The last two sentences throws me off though. It appears that you are done - you've finished the "Shares Transferred Between Accounts" process for all the securities - so what's singular "wrong mutual fund" marked as Accepted? Presumably all transactions in the "Downloaded Transactions" window have been accepted at that point, so how do you identify "the wrong" one?
It seems like while you're working through the transfer process you'd notice this somewhere along the way. No? And if you do notice it, it seems you'd stop there and not continue to the bitter end.
Maybe you can flesh this problem out a bit more?
You might want review all the securities involved in these two Accounts by looking at the securities list and determining if a ticker symbol or a CUSIP number has been used twice. That might be the source of error.

Is that in fact the case? 🔮 This statement does not appear. The "Shares Transferred Between Accounts" closes.

alltransactions in the "Downloaded Transactions" window have been accepted at that point, so how do you identify "the wrong" one? 🔮Not all securities, only one security(mutual fund) as I am doing these one at a time. I identify the wrong one because I designated security A to be added by in the "Downloaded Transactions" window security B is marked as "Accepted". Security A is the one that was actually accepted but I cannot choose security B to add using the "Shares Transferred Between Accounts" since it is already marked as "Accepted" when it shouldn't be.It seems like while you're working through the transfer process you'd notice this somewhere along the way. No? And if you do notice it, it seems you'd stop there and not continue to the bitter end. 🔮True. That is exactly what I did. And then I have to do a restore from a previous backup.
Maybe you can flesh this problem out a bit more? 🔮That's really all there is. It would be more explainable/understandable if you could see screen shots but obviously I'm not sharing that type of data publicly.
