Cannot Renew my Subscription with a non US card [Edited]
I have been a loyal Quicken Classic Premier user for over 40 years since it was delivered on CD!
Now, thanks to my bank changing my card number, I cannot pay my subscriptions as Quicken, (both on-line and over the phone) will not accept a non-US credit card number. This DESPITE me paying with an Australian issued card for, at least, the past 12 years.
I don't care that I have to manually fill Stock Prices and Bank Statements, my INVESTMENT and TAX history is locked into Quicken!
How can I keep my registration? Please help

We're other users and really can't provide much help with this type of issue.
I'd suggest that you contact Q Support, via the link at the top of this page, to see what they can do.

One thought I had is to see if you can pay through PayPal.

I did try my wife’s PayPal account and it seemed to go through (it doesn’t ask for Post Code). The payment has not shown at my bank as yet so fingers crossed. I shall post the result here. Meanwhile I have already suggested to Quicken that perhaps a different form of verifying a card (other tha post code) could result in a lot more business. Thanks

If it's the Post Code (is this the same as a Postal Code, known in the US as a Zip Code?), you can simply lie.
It's not used for anything else, so simply use the US Zip code of your Embassy in Washington DC.

Hi notACPA
That was the first thing I tried as it worked for years previously. My last company in Houston before I retired was at TX 77027. Now it appears it checks that against your Credit Card address and they must match, even the Q operator could not bypass that when I called this morning. It would be simple for them to switch to a texted PIN, and think of the additional business world wide?
Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi all – I thought I had succeeded with PayPal after successfully adding my PayPal account to my Payment list. Sadly, once I click on ‘Confirm Order’ it reverts me back to the card which PayPal is linked to (I tried several) and then reverts to the card details page and asks again for my ZIP and will not accept anything but US 5 digit numbers.
A chat with Quicken Support returns the same response “Quicken is for US and Canada only”. I drive a Tesla and I am sure that it was originally designed for the USA. They had to retool a complete assembly line for RHD cars, they did and look where it got them! That’s called Good Business.
I have never had upload facilities from non-US banks and Stock Exchanges and DO NOT CARE about these features, all I wish to do is continue my loyalty to Quicken, all they need to do is alter the ZIP field to accept any alpha-numeric input so it can be checked against the card issuers address information. Surely not a monumental effort.
Does anyone in this forum have direct contact with the CEO? Please suggest this to him. Support is useless and simply ends up redirecting to this forum.
Short of putting the money in a brown bag or sending them Crypto I am at a loss.
Meanwhile I am stuck with 1/3 of my screen telling me my Subscription Has Expired.

Hello All,
Thank you for contributing to this discussion.
I apologize for the confusion and frustration.
You will need to use a US payment method to renew your subscription on our website. Alternatively, you can purchase Quicken from a third-party retailer. Just be careful not to pick one that states it is for new users only.
Hope this helps!

Alyssa - Thanks for this response which is disappointing.
What is the issue with purchasing a subscription which states 'New Users Only'? a quick look at my Amazon USA account and this is ALL that is on offer. Any other retailers you can recommend?
I see that I am now Blocked out of signing in to my Support at I also now have to sign in every time I open my Quicken and get an emailed Code. How long before this is cut off?
Thanks

I see at least a couple sites that have "existing user" version like Walmart and BestBuy, but neither seems to be a download and as such I'm not sure about the shipping the card with just activation code on it.
But also "New User" versions for you probably aren't a problem. You become a "new user" by just creating a new Quicken Id which is free. You need a different email address, but that is about it. You can even switch out the existing one in your current Quicken Id for a junk one, and then reuse your email address in the new Quicken Id. The only real pains with creating a new Quicken Id for an existing user is that the online services would have to be setup again, and I guess if you are paying for Quicken's online backup that probably is connected with the Quicken Id. For someone that isn't using the online services this really should be a minor problem.
But what I would really suggest is giving downgrading to Quicken 2013 Deluxe US a shot. You might get lucky and it might not be too hard to get it all fixed up. If you can get it to work, you would be on the last version of Quicken that is totally offline (no Quicken Id) and you can get it for free from here.
Quicken Inc have added lots of features over the years, but most of the features are for online services, which you can't use, and most of the basic features are in Quicken 2013 Deluxe.
And here are some notes to help going from Quicken Subscription to Quicken 2013 using QIF export/import.
