Who hasn't deleted a transaction then said "Whoops"?
You can just select Undo, or press Command-Z. The Undo in Quicken Mac is pretty comprehensive (e.g. almost everything is un-doable), and you can keep Undoing repeatedly to step back through things you've done. Of course, if you figure out you mistakenly deleted a transaction a few days ago you can't retrieve it, but for a simple "whoops, I didn't mean to do that", it's easy enough to do Undo.
So if we incorrectly delete an item we can restore it.
Is this Idea related to Quicken Mac or Quicken Windows?
If this really is a Mac suggestion, Quicken Mac already has a pretty robust Undo command. As long as you haven't exited the program you can roll back just about any deletion - transactions, reports, & accounts can all be recovered. Once you exit the program, though, those deletions become permanent. That's consistent with how other Mac programs behave - it's kind of unusual in my experience for a Mac app to have its own "trash can".
I am a windows user - but i needed to us a Mac for a bit- i posted under the MAc section but this was really for windows.
thanks i posted in wrong section, Sorry! this should have been under windows.
Hi @leonard kearney
Thank you for reaching out with your request.
Your idea has been merged into this already active Idea thread regarding the same request. This helps keep the discussion and feedback in one place, making them easier to review.
Thank you.
This isn't really feasible in Quicken Windows. It is the kind of thing that has to be designed in from pretty much the beginning and have the proper database support for it. Quicken Windows has neither of that. The most it has is the ability to undelete a transaction, and it has to be a single transaction, not more than one.
