Bill Reminder situation (Mac Quicken)

I have a loan created in my Mac version of Quicken. If I try to create a bill reminder to pay the loan from a bank account, the principal and interest never change, instead only grabbing the current values for both. I had hoped it would change based on the decreasing interest and increasing principal per the loan account.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

    Hello @DougHoegh,

Thank you for reaching out! To help troubleshoot, please provide more information:

    • Is this a loan account that you created and update manually in your Quicken file?
    • Did you create the reminder when you set up the loan account in Quicken?
    • When you say the principal and interest reflect only the current value, what are you looking at in your Quicken file?

Please provide a screenshot of what you're seeing, if you're willing (please redact any personal information). If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.

I look forward to your response!

    1. Loan created in Quicken and updated manually when paid monthly from my checking account.
    2. Can't remember if I did it originally with the note, but have redone it a couple of times, trying to get it to properly update.
    3. Here are a couple of screenshots from my checking account showing that the principal and interest do not change in my future payments.

    Thank you for your reply,

You mentioned you've recreated it a few times. To clarify, is it the loan account, the reminder, or both that have been recreated?

The screenshots you tried to share didn't post. Would you please try again?

    Thank you!

Reminder only has been done multiple times. Loan is original.

    Thank you for your reply,

The screenshots you tried to post earlier didn't go through. Would you please try again?

If you're not able to share the screenshots, please provide more information about exactly what you're looking at and what you're seeing vs. what you expect to see.

    Thank you!
