How to add a second Citi Advantage Platinum Select World Mastercard

I am running Quicken Deluxe on a Windows 11 Lenovo desktop. My spouse recently got a new Citi Advantage Platinum Select World Mastercard; I already had one. We use the same Citicard login for both cards, but have separate passwords. I tried to add this card using the usual method: Tools-Add Account, search for financial institution from the list. I was able to connect to Citi, and the new card appeared-"we found 1 account." My choices were to Add to Quicken, Don't Add to Quicken, Link to Existing Account. But when I chose Add to Quicken, I got an error message: "An account named Citi Advantage Platinum Select World Mastercard already exists." What if anything, did I do wrong?

You can't have the same account name for 2 different accounts. Give each a somewhat different unique name. For example, you could name your card Citi Advantage Platinum Select World MC_your 1st name and name the other Citi Advantage Platinum Select World MC_her 1st name. Or instead of using your names as the differentiator, add the last 3 or 4 digits of the account numbers to the end of the account names.

A suggestion: You might want to consider abbreviating the credit card account names some. Shorter name will show up better in reports and in the account bar on the left side of the screen making them easier to read.
