Conflict between transaction report and Portfolio Report

Having downloaded Schwab's monthly report of transactions from my investment account, and seeing them correctly entered into the transaction screen of my Quicken Mac program, when I go to the Portfolio report it does not include one of the transactions I know is included in the transaction report. If I then enter the transaction manually, same result. A long time yesterday with a Quicken Help technician did not produce a solution. Anyone have any suggestion?🤔

If a manual transaction entry did not change your holding, there is almost certainly a Placeholder transaction in your account which is adjusting to maintain the number of shares. That should only happen if the brokerage is reporting that number of shares for the holding. you could try finding the Placeholder, and deleting that along with your manually-entered transaction, and see if that makes shares of the holding correct. Then the next step would be to do a download update to see if Quicken gets the same wrong information from Schwab and re-creates the Placeholder transaction. If this transaction occurred on February 28 or March 1, waiting an additional day or two for transactions to be settled might solve the problem.
