Why can't I see pending transactions for my Wells Fargo checking account?
First:
Windows 11
Quicken Classic Deluxe (version: R66.23, build 27.1.66.23)
I've followed all the instructions for seeing pending transactions. I've selected the checking account as one whose pending transactions are to be seen. I've made sure the little hourglass on the register is set to show pending transactions.
And, for multiple days, I've seen pending transactions on my bank's website but, updating the account info in Quicken over and over, sure enough, the pending transactions don't appear.
As noted in the Question box, my bank is Wells Fargo.

Is your account set up for downloading via Express Web Connect+? You can confirm that on the Online Service tab of Account Details.
If your account is set up for downloading with Direct Connect then you will not be able to get downloaded pending transactions because DC does not support that feature.
