INTUIT DATA FRAUD ALERT (not!)

Somehow, I went from Quicken Support to a customer service chat who told me someone was going to call me to help me with an issue in my Quicken account. Another chat on this is closed! It should be on HIGH ALERT! It seemed fairly reasonable until he told me my data was corrupt and it would take 3-4 hours to fix. I don't have a complicated system and had already locked and closed everything. Still, it is horrifying how these scams can slip into a legit site and make you think you are working with customer support. When he said it would cost me $849.00 for 3 years of protection, I hung up. Got off wifi and am doing a spyware clean on my Mac. Be aware!!!

First off Intuit hasn't owned Quicken in a number of years. Second, people tend to do Internet searches and land on these fake sites. You should either be using the link in the Help menu in Quicken or the links at this site or go directly to www.quicken.com.

I'm pretty sure you haven't found a hijacked Quicken Inc website, you were on the scammer's website.

Here is a direct URL to the Quicken support.

This was NOT a Google search. I clicked on Support and was transported. It may have been a fake website, for sure. But one minute I was in Quicken Support/Community and the next one I wasn't.
