I want to pay early for my renewal

I have Quicken classic that has a renewal date of May 2026. I want to use an AMEX rebate and need to pay prior to March 31. I do not see anything on my subscription page that lets me do that. Can I get detailed instructions on how to pay? Thanks

The renewal of Q is, in essence, no different than any other purchase of the product license.

SO, shop around, find the best price and buy it. You don't need the actual product to be delivered, just the activation code. Which will extend your current license.

The 2 things that, top of my head, I don't remember are: How far in advance of an expiration date can you apply a new activation code and for how long does a newly purchased code last.

If you search around on this board you can probably find those answers and I also expect that others will chime in with those answers.

Adding on to @NotACPA's post:

• You can enter the activation code to extend a current subscription as early as 6 months prior to the expiration date of the current subscription.
• Activation codes, if not used, now expire after 12 months.
• IMPORTANT: When shopping online for subscription deals, make sure that you do not buy a subscription that is identified in the product description or on the pictured box as being for "New Subcribers" because the code for that cannot be used to extend a subscription or to resubscribe.
• Some of the retailers that tend to have occasional sales that can often beat what Quicken.com offers include: NewEgg.com, OfficeDepot.com, Staples.com, Sams.com (I think Sam's has a good sale going on this month), BestBuy.com and Walmart.com. Ebay also can have some great deals but you need to be careful to confirm that what the seller is selling is a current subscription product.

Staples has both, Deluxe and Premier on sale right now. This is an example of what to get on the left, and what to avoid on the right (the one with the black box since it says for new subscribers only)

I just realized that we didn't really answer the question about how to buy it on Quicken.com. I think the easiest way to buy it is to go to https://www.quicken.com/products/pricing-comparison-classic/ , select the Quicken Classic edition you want by clicking on the appropriate "Get Started" button below the products features matrix. You will then be prompted to log into your Quicken.com account where you will then be able to complete the purchase.
