When I make Investment Transactions Report on particular day it shows unknown BALANCE
I am trying to see and understand an investment sale as it does not show the effect on my overall Balances.
I made this Report as I strive to see this. The BALANCE before and after may be the result of accrued Profits and Losses as it shows a changed BALANCE based on the Profit /Loss of the particular item.
Anybody know anything? If indeed it is total Profits and Losses, Why is not so showing as such???
Cheers as I continue to use excel as back up. Using Canada Classic R66.26

I have no idea what you're trying to tell us … a graphic (JPG or GIF, please) would help us to understand.

We can't see what you are seeing.
What is the title at the top of the window where you are seeing this balance?
Where exactly do you see the balance you are referring to?
Is this the Investment Transactions Report? Is the date range set to just the date of the sale, or a longer period? That report has columns "Cash", "Amount Invested," and "Cash + Invest" and there are Balances at the top and bottom. Is this what your question is about?
Also investment accounts have several amounts related to "balances" - There are columns named Cash Bal, Market Value, and Share Bal, and there are also "Securities Value" and Total Market Value"
Normally when you sell a security the security's Share Bal and Market Value will go down and the account's Cash Bal will increase. The account's Total Market value will stay the same, plus or minus gains and losses from share price changes.
