can I change the financial institution on a CC account without deleting the account and reinstalling?

American Airlines Advantage CC has moved from Barclays to Citi.

    Typically the answer to that question is "Yes."

    Make a backup.

    Deactivate the Account from downloading.

    After deactivating the Account you can delete the Financial institution and Account number information on the General tab on Account Details.

    The start the ADD Account process specifying the new Financial Institution and enter your user ID and password at the new Financial Institution. Quicken should find the credit card account at the financial institution and display it. You LINK, not ADD, the account at the financial institution to your existing Quicken Account.
