How do I change my user name?
I want to change it, but says I'm not authorized?

Changing Your Quicken ID (Account Email)
- Open Quicken and go to the Edit menu.
- Select Preferences
- Choose Quicken ID & Cloud Accounts.
- Click Update Profile or Change Email/Quicken ID.
- Enter your new email address and current password, then click Save Changes. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Sign In Issues: If you cannot change the ID, you may need to unlink your data file by going to Edit >Preferences > Quicken ID > Sign Out (use the "Sign in as a different user" option using your current password).
NOTE: Changing your Quicken ID (the email used to sign into the software) does not require you to update bank credentials

@tatsails are you wanting to change your user name here on the Quicken Community? That user name is not the same as your Quicken ID. The process @The Keeper described is for the Quicken ID.

Thanks for reaching out!
I went ahead and changed your username to remove your email so your email address isn't exposed. However, if you still desire a different Community profile username, please respond with the desired username and I can go ahead and apply that change for you as well as only Admins and Moderators have the ability to change usernames here in the Community forum.
