How do I change my user name?

I want to change it, but says I'm not authorized?

    Changing Your Quicken ID (Account Email)

    1. Open Quicken and go to the Edit menu.
    2. Select Preferences
    3. Choose Quicken ID & Cloud Accounts.
    4. Click Update Profile or Change Email/Quicken ID.
    5. Enter your new email address and current password, then click Save Changes. [1, 2, 3, 4]
    6. Sign In Issues: If you cannot change the ID, you may need to unlink your data file by going to Edit >Preferences > Quicken ID > Sign Out (use the "Sign in as a different user" option using your current password).

    NOTE: Changing your Quicken ID (the email used to sign into the software) does not require you to update bank credentials

    @tatsails are you wanting to change your user name here on the Quicken Community? That user name is not the same as your Quicken ID. The process @The Keeper described is for the Quicken ID.

    Quicken user since Q1999. Currently using QW2017.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    I went ahead and changed your username to remove your email so your email address isn't exposed. However, if you still desire a different Community profile username, please respond with the desired username and I can go ahead and apply that change for you as well as only Admins and Moderators have the ability to change usernames here in the Community forum.
