Why do entries in my checking accounts (expenses + deposits) get dropped or just not show up when I log back in the next day? Often times, the One-Step Update simply ignores entries I have entered manually. Why?

HOW are you opening Q? If you right-click on the icon, what shows as it's "Properties".

Q automatically stores transactions when input. So my suspicions are that you've either got a corrupted file OR you're repeatedly opening an older file.
