I noticed I am missing 2 days of transactions mid month [Edited]

I noticed I am missing 2 days of transactions mid month. I worked with a rep to download. We even went on bank website. Only for rep to tell my that Quicken is no longer in relationship with my bank, therefore, I would have to save my transactions on another type of software. I do not see any questions concerning this issue. (Bank of America is my bank) Is anyone else having problems?

Just started when reconciling April bank statement. Quicken's support rep assisted me.

    Hello @Jerrisa,

Thank you for reporting the issue you have been experiencing.

I have moved your post to a more appropriate category. Quicken does have connections with Bank of America. I think they may have stopped offering the QFX downloads from their website, but I can't recall for sure. Maybe that's what the agent was trying to convey.

I have some follow-up questions for you:

    • How are you downloading transactions?
      • Are you using the One Step Update, or downloading a QFX file from the bank's website?
    • Is this the first time you have found missing transactions, or does this happen frequently?
    • Can you enter these manually?
      • If this has only happened once, it may be easiest to manually enter the missing transactions.

If this is the first time this has happened

Review this list of reasons; if the issue has only happened once, one of the scenarios below is the likely cause:

    1. Has the sort order been changed in the register? Confirm that the Sort Order in your account register is by Date; just click the top of the Date column in your account register. It's likely the transactions are in your register, just not where you thought they'd be.

    2. Click the Reset button at the top of the register. This will confirm that there's no filtering in your account register.

    3. Try refreshing your login session: To do this, go to Help > Refresh Sign in. After completing the log-in process, try running a One Step Update again.

I have linked the support article above. Open it and go through the remaining steps.

Let us know how it goes!

You either misunderstood what the Quicken Support person said or that person gave you some bad information. Quicken and BofA still do support each other but only with the Express Web Connect+ connection method. BoA stopped supporting the Web Connect connection method (where we manually download transactions from the financial institution's website in a QFX formatted file) in the last couple of months.

That being said, there are several ongoing connection issues for which Alerts have been posted. Maybe one of these is applicable to your situation?:

Since you are missing just 2 days of transactions: Is it a lot of transactions or is it just a few? If it is just a few I might be more expedient and less troublesome to manually enter those missing transactions in the Account Register. Otherwise, you might be waiting for who knows how long before those missing transactions do download….if the ever do download in the future (sometimes missing transaction never do download).
